COP21 Side Event ‘Our Common Future under Climate Change’ (CFCC15)

Date: December 04, 2015

The organizers of the Scientific Conference ‘Our Common Future under Climate Change’ (CFCC15) will moderate a discussion during COP21 about the future research agenda. The discussion will be held between scientists and representatives of national and international research organizations.  Members of the CFCC15 Scientific and Organizing Committee will be present, including Hervé Le Treut, Franck Lecocq, Jean-François Soussana and Sébastien Treyer. Each participant will be able to share his views on the addressed topics.

The debate will take place at UNESCO pavilion, in the Climate Generations area.

The 2015 international scientific conference ‘Our Common Future under Climate Change’ was held in Paris earlier this year under the umbrella of ICSU, Future Earth, UNESCO and major French research institutions, with the support of the French Government. It provided a large forum for the scientific community to come together ahead of the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) of the UNFCCC. Building on the results of IPCC 5th Assessment Report (AR5), the conference addressed key issues concerning climate change in the broader context of global change. It offered an opportunity to discuss solutions for both mitigation and adaptation issues.
