Vincent Virat

Science Officer, Paris

Vincent is the coordinator for Science for Earth Targets, an initiative that aims at fostering integrated approaches to the SDGs by mobilising the knowledge needed to define and implement specific targets for the so-called life-supporting SDGs (SDG 6 - clean water and sanitation, SDG 13 - climate action, SDG 14 - life below water, and SDG 15 - life on land). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Sciences Po Paris, for which he spent a year at the University of California, Santa Cruz, focusing on Environmental Studies; and a Master's degree in environmental policy from the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po). His interests lie in biodiversity conservation, governance issues and mountain environments. Outside of Future Earth, Vincent enjoys hiking and rock climbing with friends (and colleagues!) and photography.
