Video: Young scientists on a greener economy
How can we make our economies more sustainable? Transitioning to a greener economy while ensuring human well-being and healthy ecosystems is a complex challenge.
From 25-31 May, 30 young scientists from across the disciplines met at Villa Vigoni, the German Italian Centre for European Excellence in Menaggio, Italy, to work on their vision for a sustainable economy. In this video, they give an insight into the broad range of their research interests and their ideas for the future.
This was the 2nd conference in a series. The call for applications for the next conference is open until December 22nd. The topic of the 2015 edition will be "Future Sustainability—the role of Science in the Sustainable Development Goals."
The conference was organized by the International Council for Science (ICSU), the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and the German Research Foundation (DFG), in collaboration with the International Network of Next-Generation Ecologists (INNGE) and Institute for New Economic Thinking – Young Scholars Initiative (INET YSI).
