New video: Research into Transformations
These questions lie at the heart of the Transformations to Sustainability Programme, a global research funding programme launched in July 2014 by the International Social Science Council (ISSC). The programme promotes research on some of the world’s most pressing challenges, exploring the fundamental innovative processes of social transformations needed to secure effective, equitable, and durable solutions to questions of global change and sustainability. It is a major contribution to Future Earth.
Last year, the International Social Science Council (ISSC) gathered together seed grantees of the programme, and noted researchers on social change, for the first of a series of annual Transformative Knowledge Workshops. These workshops will eventually lay the foundation for the global Transformations Knowledge Trust that is being developed through the programme.
Participants exchanged ideas on social change, exploring what is needed for better and more effective research into social change, and how change happens.
