AGU Fall Meeting 2015: organise a session co-sponsored by IGBP
The International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) is planning a series of events at the 2015 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in San Francisco to celebrate its legacy and mark the IGBP community's transition to Future Earth. IGBP invites all its networks and partners to participate.
The events are designed to:
- Present IGBP research including its second synthesis
- Bring together IGBP’s projects, networks, partners and staff past and present
The IGBP community is strongly encouraged to submit session proposals by the 22 April deadline and select IGBP as a co-sponsor. Each session can have up to four convenors. A title of up to 300 characters and a description of up to 150 words is required. Further information about submitting sessions can be found here.
Planned events and activities (dates to be confirmed):
- Union session (Great Debate format)
- 2-3 integrated sessions
- Several disciplinary sessions from IGBP core project communities
- An early-career scientist event in collaboration with Future Earth
- Booth
- Evening reception recognising and celebrating the people and projects that made IGBP a success for three decades
