Earth Day: The Earth League calls on world leaders to commit to eight climate actions
Signatories include Youba Sokona, a member of the Future Earth Science Committee, Johan Rockström, co-Chair of the Future Earth Transition Team, and Nebojsa Nakicenovic, co-Chair of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Global Carbon Project.
The first essential element is a commitment to limit global warming to below 2° C.
The Earth Statement also invites all to join this call for bold action by decision-makers to pave the way for an ambitious, equitable and science-based agreement in Paris.
