Call for abstracts: 5th iLEAPS Science Conference
The Integrated Land Ecosystem-Atmosphere Processes Study (iLEAPS), a global research project of Future Earth, has announced that it is accepting abstract submissions for its 5th Science Conference. This event will run from 11 to 14 September 2017 in Oxford, UK. The conference is organised by the Centre for Ecology Hydrology of the Natural Environment Research Council and has the theme of “Understanding the impact of land-atmosphere exchanges.”
The conference programme covers sessions on a range of topics, including “Impacts of fire on land and atmosphere,” “Thawing permafrost carbon: a challenge for climate sciences” and “Ground-Based observations for ecosystem-atmospheric interactions.”
The conference is open to a wide range of participants. The iLEAPS International Project Office (IPO) will provide limited financial support for early-career scientists and researchers from the developing world to attend.
