Registration open for “Seedbeds of Transformation” conference in South Africa
Registration is now open for the “Seedbeds of Transformation: The Role of Science with Society and the SDGs in Africa” in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The conference is also accepting applications for exhibition spaces at the conference.
To register or to apply for an exhibition space, visit the official conference website.
The Seedbeds of Transformation conference, which runs from 9 to 11 May 2018, is organised by Future Earth, the South African Government Department of Science and Technology, the National Research Foundation of South Africa and START.
Seedbeds will provide a collaborative space for interrogation of transformations in Africa, and how working toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) may help the continent to achieve such changes. The conference will encourage dialogue and actions including examining potential tradeoffs involved with strategies for achieving the SDGs and pursuing transformational change in different contexts across the continent.
You can see a full list of conference themes here.
Seedbeds will engage scholars, practitioners, and policy experts in collaboratively exploring these transformations challenges. The Seedbeds conference will also place a premium on active participation, open dialogue and regional leadership and will showcase innovative approaches to sustainability from across Africa.
