Mountain Research Initiative call for Synthesis Workshops 2019

As part of its mission, the Mountain Research Initiative (MRI) provides funding contributions for synthesis workshops that bring together global change researchers to address specific topics of interest to the mountain research community. The objective for supporting these synthesis workshops is to produce synthesis products such as articles for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals or compilation of relevant data into publishable datasets or databases that have the potential to facilitate further collaborative research.

For 2019, MRI has prioritized funding for three mountain research specific synthesis workshop categories, including:

  • IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6);
  • Science in support of global policy agendas and UN conventions; and
  • Open thematic call.

The MRI invites the global change research community working in mountain regions to submit applications for synthesis workshops funding that cover at least one of the three categories prioritised for 2019. Don’t miss out on this funding opportunity! Further information can be found by visiting the MRI website. The deadline for proposals is 31 January 2019.
