Future Earth’s Work as a Global Scientific Platform Featured in French-Language Publication Le Devoir
Future Earth’s efforts to facilitate collaboration among scientists and policy-makers were featured in a special edition of Quebec-based media outlet Le Devoir. The piece, published November 2, 2019, highlights the Global Carbon Project (a global research project of Future Earth) and the Future Earth initiative, Sustainability in the Digital Age.
Executive Director Amy Luers noted that the latter initiative builds on Quebec’s expertise in artificial intelligence and seeks to establish a better understanding of how digital innovation can help build a more sustainable world, while avoiding inherent risks of the digital age like resource depletion or social inequality.
