Innovate4Cities 2021 (Oct. 11–15, 2021) is a virtual global and regional event aligned with Future Earth’s mission to accelerate transformations to global sustainability through research and innovation. “The Future Earth community is well-placed to contribute its expertise with novel city-scaled research, downscaled models, and scenario research from a range of disciplines to inform inclusive, resilient, and climate-neutral cities”, said Dr. Giles Sioen, Co-lead for the Research and Innovation work at Future Earth.

Innovate4Cities 2021 promises to bring together science and innovation, policy and practice united by a common objective: Enabling cities to take accelerated and more ambitious climate action. Across the globe, as societies tackle COVID-19 recovery in earnest, there is a real opportunity to build back better — to build cleaner, more resilient, sustainable societies and a fairer world.
