The French National Committee on Global Changes (CNFCG) represents the French scientific community working on all aspects of global change. It fosters a multidisciplinary approach by networking various research projects about changes in the state of the planet (climate, biodiversity, water and land use, etc.) at local to global scale. The CNFCG also supports science-policy interfaces, including IPCC and IPBES, but also regional entities for scientific support of public policy.

CNFCG also strengthens the dialogue between French researchers and the international scientific community, by encouraging cross-cutting sustainability projects but also for basic research. It makes the link between national and international research programs, in particular Future Earth and the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP).

CNFCG is supported by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the French Academy of Science, which represents France at the International Science Council (ICS).
