Report on the First Future Earth Assembly (2021)

Future Earth restructured its governance as an important step in its transition towards a more inclusive, accessible, transparent, and transformative organization.

In this scope, the Future Earth Assembly was established last summer and the first Assembly meeting was held online on 29 and 30 September 2021.

At this occasion, representatives from all the Future Earth Community gathered to learn about the restructuring of Future Earth, to start working together, and to elect the new Governing Council members.

The Assembly gives a voice to the entire Future Earth Community to set priorities and strategic directions for Future Earth, while the Governing Council, elected by the Assembly, is prioritizing ideas and activities and enables the Global Secretariat to serve the community and carry out actions to help Future Earth reach its goals and fulfill its mission.

The report of this meeting is now available HERE.
