Daniel Nyanganyura

Dr. Daniel Nyanganyura is an Atmospheric Physicist and science manager who has vast experience in Africa working with different stakeholders that include governments, inter-governmental bodies, the science community and civil society organiztions. He has a vested interest in activities that seek to promote science for development, build inter-disciplinary and transboundary research capacity and science networks as well as bridge and foster the science-policy interface. Holds a PhD in Atmospheric Physics, an MSc in Agricultural Meteorology, and a BSc 4th Year Honors in Physics from the University of Zimbabwe; and a Licentiate Degree in Education in the Specialty of Physics and Astronomy from Pedagogical University Enrique José Varona, Havana, Cuba. He is the current Director of the Future Earth Africa Hub Leadership Centre. He worked as the Executive Director of the African Science, Technology and Policy Institute; Regional Director for the International Science Council Regional Office for Africa; and Program Specialist for Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Sciences at the International Council for Science Regional Office for Africa; an air pollution researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany; a Physics lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe; an Advanced Level Physics and Computer Science Teacher.
