Mathilde Mougeot

Mathilde Mougeot is a Professor of Data Science at École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique pour l'Industrie et l'Entreprise (ENSIIE) and adjunct Professor at École Normal Supérieure (ENS), Paris Saclay where she holds the Industrial Research Chair in Industrial Analytics And Machine Learning. She also heads the mission for technology transfer at the Institut national des sciences mathématiques et de leurs interactions (Insmi). In this capacity, she works directly within the innovation ecosystem, helping develop start-ups and relationships between mathematicians and industry. She represents the institute in the Innovation and Business Relations Department (DIRE) of the French Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS). In 2017 she led a call for research projects on the contribution of mathematics to artificial intelligence and in 2016 she was part of French government task force (led by Cédric Villani) on AI. She is also the editorial scientific advisor of the web journal, the Data Analytics Post. Professor Mougeot’s research centers on theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning, data mining and computational statistics, with varied applications broadly relevant to sustainability.
