Michael Roos

Michael Roos is professor of macroeconomics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. His research interest covers a broad range of topics related to the analysis of complex systems and the transition of economies towards more sustainability. In particular, his research focuses on climate change and the transformation of the mobility system and the energy system. He has also a strong interest in philosophy of science and ethics and advocates more pluralism in economics. Michael has experience in local policy consulting and chairs the graduate program „Economics Policy Consulting“ at his university. He has ample experience in academic leadership. Before he came to the Ruhr University Bochum, he was a lecturer in economics at the University of East Anglia, UK. He holds a PhD in economics from the Technical Unversity Dortmund.
