‘Trending Now: Water’ 7th International Scientific Conference on the Global Water and Energy Cycle

The 7th International Scientific Conference on the Global Energy and Water Cycle will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, The Netherlands from 14-17 July 2014.

Conference sessions fall into three categories: the climate system, land, and atmosphere.

Following the Conference, GEWEX will have a Pan-GEWEX Meeting at the same venue from 17-18 July 2014, where the four GEWEX Panels will conduct relevant matters business. At the same time, the Climate Variability and Predictability Project (CLIVAR), a sister organization of GEWEX, will host its own Pan-CLIVAR Meeting at the World Forum.

GEWEX Summer Session for Students and Early Career Scientists

The GEWEX Summer Sessions will be held for three days from 10-12 July 2014 at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. The Sessions are free of charge and will be open to a limited number (maximum 30) of graduate students, post docs, and early career scientists. This 3-day intense course will be presented by some of the world’s most esteemed scientists in the area of energy and water cycle research. The sessions, covering various aspects of observations, modeling, and prediction of the energy and water cycle and related processes, will be a mix of lectures and practical exercises given in 2-hour blocks.

Students who attend the GEWEX Summer Sessions are expected to submit an abstract and attend the 7th International Scientific Conference on the Global Water and Energy Cycle, which is being held directly after the course.
