Future Earth in the United States is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is part of a larger USA consortium which includes the University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado State University, and George Mason University. Future Earth USA works to further the larger goals and mission of Future Earth International in the United States.
