Dr. Rohini Mattoo did M.Sc. from The M.S. University of Baroda,Vadodara, Gujarat where her research work included unravelling the microbial diversity of the aquatic environment in the Arabian sea and a lake in Vadodara. She then obtained her PhD at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. For her post-doctoral training at the Johns Hopkins University, Dr Mattoo established fundamental tools and foundations in the area of Tuberculosis research and also characterized a novel cell wall enzyme from an emerging opportunistic pathogen. At the Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Dr Mattoo’s research includes the areas of Climate Change Biology, characterizing the soil rhizosphere and sustainable agroecosystems.
