Debashis Nath
Associate Director, China Hub
Debashis is working as Associate Professor at the School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai. He did his PhD in Atmospheric Physics from National Atmospheric Research Laboratory, Dept. of Space, India. For a short while he worked in Kyoto University, Japan under JSPS Exchange Program. In 2011, he joined the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as CAS Young International Scientist. In 2015 he joined IAP, CAS as Associate Professor. Debashis is mainly working on Asian monsoon dynamics, Arctic amplification and Stratosphere-Troposphere interaction and It's impact on extreme weather events in the surface. He has published more than 70 articles in the international journals and proceedings. He worked as PI in several National and International research projects. He joined the Future Earth on November 2021 at Global Hub China.
