II Conference of the Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS)
This is an update regarding the second PECS conference that will be held in Oaxaca City, Mexico. We are now receiving proposals for symposia, workshops, innovative and immersive sessions, videos and documentaries, and courses (during and after to the conference).

Closing date of the first call: 30 January 2017
Publication of results of the first call: 15 February 2017
The Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS), a global research project of Future Earth, will hold its second international conference. The event will take place in Oaxaca City, Mexico, and is open to a wide variety of participants, including researchers from the natural and social sciences and humanities, policy advisors and representatives from international initiatives.

PECS-II focuses on the contributions that ongoing place-based transdisciplinary research undertanken in different part of the planet to inform global sustainability. The premise is that solutions towards sustainability change dramatically accross context. This meeting provides a unique oportunity for sharing insights gained within a wide range of contexts at local scales to identify pathways towards sustainability at a range of spatial scales and contexts.
