Journée Future Earth: Collaborations internationales pour la recherche sur la durabilité planétaire

La réunion annuelle de l’Assemblée générale de Future Earth, le programme international de recherche sur la durabilité planétaire, sera accueillie en 2022 par la France. Elle se tiendra du 21 au 23 septembre 2022 à Sorbonne Université (Campus Jussieu, Paris). Cette Assemblée rassemble des chercheurs du monde entier et est représentative des différents réseaux thématiques, comités scientifiques nationaux et partenaires du programme. 

A cette occasion, le Comité National Français des Changements Globaux (CNFCG) et le bureau français du Secrétariat de Future Earth organisent pendant la matinée du 21 septembre une rencontre pour la communauté française impliquée dans les sciences de la durabilité (en français). L’objectif de cette matinée est d’identifier et discuter les nouvelles perspectives de recherche ouvertes par la fin du cycle des travaux du GIEC et par les travaux en cours de l’IPBES. 

Les participants de la matinée sont aussi invités à participer à la première après-midi de la réunion plénière de l’Assemblée de Future Earth, qui sera consacrée à la présentation des principaux travaux récents et en cours (en anglais). Cette après-midi permettra de renforcer les interactions entre les chercheurs français et les chercheurs impliqués dans Future Earth.

Future Earth Day: “International Cooperation for Research on Global Sustainability”

21 September 2022, Sorbonne University (Paris, France)

In the afternoon of 21 September 2022, the first plenary of the Future Earth Assembly will take place at Sorbonne Université (Paris, France). Scientists from all over the world are welcome to attend this open event, in person or online. This half day will be devoted to the presentation of recent research outcomes of the Future Earth community and will be the kickoff of the General Assembly of Future Earth (21 to 23 September 2022).

On the morning of 21 September, the French National Committee for Future Earth (Comité national français des changements globaux) and the French Hub of the Future Earth Secretariat organized a conference open to the French scientific community working in sustainability science. The objective of this event, which will be held in the French language, is to identify and discuss the new research perspectives opened up by the end of the current IPCC working cycle and by the ongoing work of the IPBES.
