World Design Summit 2017
Participants with a background in design, urban planning and more are invited to take part in the World Design Summit 2017, which bills itself as “10 days to change the world.” The event, which will be held in Montreal, will focus on six major themes. They are design for participation, design for Earth, design for beauty, design for sale?, design for transformation and design for extremes. The conference is open to attendees from architecture and landscape architecture, urban planning, interior, graphic and industrial design and more.

The World Design Summit – Montréal 2017 (WDS) is an unprecedented international gathering of diverse disciplines with a common focus: how design can shape the built environment of the future. Montréal will host design professionals, government and business leaders, industry representatives, media and NGOs from around the world. For 10 days, attendees will come together to transcend silos, foster cooperation and enhance professional development. More than a mere celebration of design, the Summit will demonstrate the tremendous power of design to create viable solutions to global social, economic, cultural and environmental challenges.
The World Design Summit will run from 16 to 25 October 2017. A call for proposals is open until 3 October 2016.
